A mid-morning visit to the flooded field north of Sudlersville
failed to produce the Wilson's Phalarope that has been recently seen at the
site. Still lots of other shorebirds were present, in an ever-changing
scene. Observations included three Short-billed Dowitchers, at least one
Solitary Sandpiper and one Spotted Sandpiper, numerous Semipalmated Plovers
and Least Sandpipers, over a dozen Dunlin, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, a
few Semipalmated Sandpipers, and several Killdeer, Purple Martins and Barn
Swallows.

Back in Talbot County, a brief visit to Pickering Creek turned up
one Short-billed Dowitcher, a few Greater and Lesser Yellowlergs, eight
Semipalmated Plovers, one Semipalmated Sandpiper, several Least Sandpipers
and Killdeer, but no Phalaropes here either.
