On the way home from work I briefly stopped at one of the many pullouts along beach dr and walked about 100ft of rock creek trail. There were quite a few fruiting trees at this stop, and the thrushes were out in force. In about 20 minutes or so I had counted 4+ (moving around) SWAINSON's THRUSHES (three seen, one singing) and 3 VEERIES (two singing, one calling - of which 2 were seen). One distant WOOD THRUSH made for a nice trio. I stayed a little longer hoping for a quartet, but no such luck.

Other notables:

scarlet tanager
2 northern parulas (heard only)
blackpoll warbler (heard only)
