Upper Watts Branch Park for 5/14

Jim Moore drove up at just the right moment for killer looks at a Mourning Warbler at ten feet.  It was in the brushy tangle at the entrance to the path into the woods at Princeton and Fordham.  It may have moved upstream, but typically MOWAs move around quite a bit at this location and it could easily end up back at the tangle.

Last night, just before midnight, in 15 minutes I heard 16 Swainson's, 3 Gray-cheeked, a Wood Thrush and a Veery moving northeast on light southerly winds under the low overcast, ideal conditions to hear a thrush flight.
