Although relatively few of the shorebirds in the Canninghouse Rd. pool
remain, an American Golden-Plover in full breeding plumage was aggressively
dominating the remaining (variably plumaged) Black-bellied Plovers.

P.s. - A dredge slurry impoundment, probably eventually resembling the one
that many folks visited at Perryman's Ford Ln. this week, is currently
under construction at Swan Harbor. Judging by the shorebird list accumulated
at Swan Harbor's marsh impoundment when it was early in establishment, there
seems much potential for late summers shorebirds.
