Joe Byrnes and I went looking for ravens this morning around Rocky Gorge. The good news is that we found two, (thanks to Derek Richardson for his post), but they were both in PG County. One Common Raven was at Exit 33B on I-95. The other was at Rocky Gorge at the border of PG and Howard Counties at I -95. The bird turned at the river and flew on the south side just yards from Howard County so Joe B did not get his county bird :(.

We also spotted a Laughing Gull on the Howard side of the river. We viewed the gull from West Bond Mill Rd. This is the first Laughing Gull of the year for Howard County. It is interesting that 3 days ago I had one at nearby Patuxent Refuge--North Tract and Kevin Graff et. al. heard one at the North Tract yesterday.

Several Cliff Swallows were flying over the fields at West Bond Mill Rd, PG County.
