Tonight, while watching a sound defeat of the Cleveland Indians by some
Baltimore Orioles, I kept an eye on the actual birds hawking insects in the
stadium lights over Camden Yards. Among the Barn Swallows nesting in the
roofed upper deck and the Chimney Swifts were 13 Common Nighthawks which
hawked insects for 7 of the 9 innings of baseball.
