Hi all --

Still trying to recover from serious jet-lag (returned from Bhutan
Wednesday) so stayed close to home this AM. Got to the Gardens about 6:30,
earlier would probably have been better. However, still quite a bit of
activity until it got breezy at about 8 AM. Did the Gardens, Pine Lake and
also, a turn around the Nature Ctr. pond. Birds of interest:

Yellow-billed Cuckoo -1
Great Crested Flycatcher -1
Eastern Wood-pewee -1
LEAST FLYCATCHER - 1
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 1 (male)
Red-eyed Vireo - 4
Swainson's Thrush - 2
Wood Thrush - 4 or 5
Blackthroated Blue - 2
Blackthroated Green - 1
BLACKBURNIAN - 1 (stunning male)
Blackpoll - 4
Chestnut-sided - 1
Myrtle - 2
Ovenbird - 5
Parula - 6
Redstart - 2
WILSON'S - (male, first bird we saw!)
Yellowthroat - 2
Yellow - 3
Baltimore Oriole - 12+
Orchard Oriole - 1
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 1
Chipping Sparrow - 2

We then came home to a phone call alerting us to the Painted Bunting Gary
Allport had found this AM at Hains Point. Despite knowing that it had not
been relocated, we HAD to go try. No luck on the bunting but in the vicinity
of the Hains Pt. maintenance yard were:

Wood-pewee - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - 1
Warbling Vireo - 1 (singing)
Blackpoll - 2
Myrtle - 3
WILSON'S - 2 (quite an influx of these today)
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 1
Baltimore Oriole - 2
