Nancy,

I watched someone 'watching' me while I was there, and this gentleman
made a phone call and kept an eye on me. I only went to first base to
enjoy the Ravens and Cliff Swallows. Seeing all the signs, I figured
it best not to get too close to the fence line. I left after only a
few minutes, hoping for a Tri-county bird.

So, I wouldn't be surprised if I was the 'suspicious activity' being
reported today.

All six of the Ravens flew into Howard while I was there, but sadly...
not Anne Arundel. I drove back towards Oxbow and scoped the cell
tower at the damn from near the Laurel race track. I saw two Ravens...
but they made absolutely no effort to fly into my home county.

Next time...

Best,

Dan Haas

Someone had apparently reported people with scopes looking out at the dam so he had to check it out. He is intrigued by the report of a family of ravens and will spread the word to other WSSCers that there might be birder activity. They're used to us at Brighton Dam, not so much at TH Duckett. Anyway, there is no problem looking at the birds there - just explain what you're doing if someone asks.
