We still have a White-throated Sparrow. I hear him singing every few days. I think he is still here because he cannot fly. I see him hopping along the ground almost daily.

During a morning bird walk at Fort Smallwood Park, Dave Gillum and I heard the song of a White-throated Sparrow. We heard it only once and did not see the bird, but the call was clear and recognized by both of us. I recall many years ago seeing an adult White-throated Sparrow in June in Anne Arundel County.
