Howdy,
I hung out with a friend who is running a fish camp for kids at the Bay Lab on St. George's Island today, and saw a few of good (not epic, but good) birds. Birding wasn't my focus of the day, so the list is fairly short. A BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCH flew directly overhead, and a WILLET was hunting on a pile of logs jammed under an osprey platform. Last week, I photographed a Green Heron hunting from the same log pile.
I spent about an hour photographing the PURPLE MARTINS (and a few Barn Swallows) at the colony by the lab, and a family of MUTE SWANs (two adults, three cygnets) were also noted.
