This morning (6/28) I saw and heard a Blue Grosbeak at Meadowbrook Park (Howard County), behind ball field #1 and the new fitness center. It was perched in the top of a tall tree along the park border with Meadowbrook Lane. The grosbeak appeared to be a first summer male but I had only a brief look at a distance before it disappeared. Other birds present included a fly over Killdeer, two Great-crested Flycatchers, several juvenile Tree and Rough-winged Swallows, a beautiful male Indigo Bunting in full sun, and a first summer male Orchard Oriole.
