Today was the first hummingbird banding day of the 
season at my house. Bruce Peterjohn did the 
banding while I operated the trap and collected 
data. We banded from about 0745 until noon. We had 
a great day with the following results:

We banded 28 new Ruby-throated Hummingbirds -
12 Adult Females
15 Adult Males
  1  Male that just hatched this year

In addition, we recaptured 6 birds that we banded 
last year -
2  Females that were hatched last year
2 Adult Females that were banded as adults
1 Male that hatched last year
1 Adult Male that was banded as an adult
