Hello All, I got a call last night from Brian Sykes that his friend Kevin had been going to Charlestown Retirement Community Pond off Wilkens Ave in Arbutus to photograph Black Bellied Whistleing Ducks . Im sorry i just assumed everyone knew about this as his friend did run into other birders here. Am i missing some emails cause i dont see any reports of it . Well really sorry i would have told everyone last night . We went to look for them around 9:00 this morning but did not find them. We did some running around other places and went back to check this evening around 430 . There were 5 Black Bellied Whistling Ducks in the pond . Lots of geese and Mallard here also. We accessed the pond from the back of the Giant food store on Wilkens ave. Beltway 695 to Wilkens Ave inside the beltway . Go past the Giant on your left and turn in behind it . Go straight back to the end . park there and walk down to the fence . the pond is very viewable here . Not
allowed in the Charlestown Retirement Community . Wooohoooo !!! New Life Bird . Got one yesterday too. Bank Swallows on Marriotsville road. Really sorry guys will do better next time.
