Re: Arctic Tern still around 8:25 this morning

Sorry, I posted something earlier through another server and it did  
not make it to the list.

This morning I was along the river, first access upriver of Violette's  
lock and the Arctic Tern appeared ~ 8:20-25, flying above the rocks on  
the VA side. I saw it well in my scope, swooping and diving, turning  
around... and disappearing behind the large sycamores close to the VA  
shore. Regretfully I did not have time to try and find it and I did  
not see it again within the next half hour. A small consolation was a  
juvenile bald eagle.

I had decided that, given the chance to see it, I would first have a  
good look and then take photos. So, no photos but it is a beautiful  
bird (and a lifer) and I had a great moment seeing it. Thanks to Dave C.
