I saw the Common Moorhen from the front viewing platform at Schoolhouse Pond, Upper Marlboro, PG County this morning.  It was on a log along with several Wood Ducks.  The time was around 11:10 am this morning.  A telescope would help in viewing the log from there, but I saw it through binoculars.
