As Rob Hilton notes, I did see a Stilt Sandpiper, still with a trace of
its rufous facial mask, at the Brown Station Road recycling pond around
7:30am this morning. It was on the point of land that juts almost into
the middle of the pond from the right when I arrived. But I had lost
track of it by the time Rob arrived (sorry Rob!). Not sure if it flew
off or might still be hanging around.
The roost of Black Vultures was also noteworthy. I did a rough count of
300, with more blocked from my view by the island.
Good birding!

Other shorebirds I saw were Least and Solitary Sandpipers, Lesser Yellowlegs, and Killdeer. There were dozens of Black Vultures, most of them on the muddy shore, some Mallards and Canada Geese, and a Belted Kingfisher. Nothing I heard sounded like a Dickcissel.
