Subject: Poplar Island Sightings from July 15,2010
This report is submitted on behalf of Jan Reese of Talbot County, who
continues to periodically survey the flora and fauna of the Paul Sarbanes
Ecosystem Restoration Project at Poplar Island.
Some of the birds were seen from the boat during the trip from
Tilghman Island and back.
Note the shorebird mix included Western and Stilt Sandpipers.
Also note the high numbers for Cormorants, Caspian Terns and Bank Swallows.
New for the project site this visit was a Great Crested Flycatcher.
