I saw an immature Yellow-crowned Night-Heron on the south side of Mezick Pond in Sandy Point State Park yesterday evening at about 7:00 PM.  He caught a nice crab, and a Great Blue Heron tried to steal it, so the YCNH flew farther west on the same pond.   He was much harder to see at this point, but was still visible from the boat launch parking area.
