Hi all. I had the Sandhill Crane from 4:45 to about 6:15 or so. When I left, it was still there. I did get as close as about 15 feet away. He approached me when I was sitting at a picnic table and he walked right on by. It checked me out very well as he walked between me and another photographer that was near by. It is very leery of dogs and children. Smart bird. I actually have a photo of that to. I added 4 new photo's from today.

I also took some video with my camera today. I posted it on youtube if you want to see it. I have had great luck in the afternoon with this bird. It has been all the way up to the bridge on Delaware Ave that goes over the Big Elk Creek, including near the entrance to Meadow Park, and all through the Soccer field including the pine woods that surround the park.
