I visited the impoundment at Perryman Park for the first time this evening from 7PM until 7:45PM. There were a couple dozen Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, a Semipalmated Plover, a lone Canada Goose, maybe a dozen Mallards, and the surprise was a single American Avocet, foraging on the fringes of the island in the middle of the impoundment. The bird was still there when I left. I took a few distant photos.
