It's not quite sunrise right now (5:58).  I hear at least two cicadas singing outside my house ... I turned off the HVAC and opened a window to confirm this.  Isn't it a little early in the day for cicadas to be singing?  Is this perceived early start related to how warm it is right now?  The local weatherbug stations are saying it's 82 and 84 F at this time.  
Yesterday and Thursday morning a robin was singing vigorously around 5:30 am.  I don't hear him now, perhaps because I woke up a little later this morning.  Or maybe he was tired of competing with the insects?
