Hi Everyone,

With all of the Black Tern reports today and yesterday, I figured I should get one more on the record. Yesterday (17 Aug 2010) Carol Gutberlet, Doug Ruby, and I had a single BLACK TERN at the Hurlock WWTP. No rare shorebirds were present, but there was some variety: SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and KILLDEER, LEAST and SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, a PECTORAL SANDPIPER, a LESSER YELLOWLEGS, a SOLITARY SANDPIPER, and SPOTTED SANDPIPERS.

Thanks to Jim Stasz for suggesting that we stop by Hurlock after the Poplar Island trip. Thanks also to Gail and Barry for arranging the Poplar trip and to all for the great company.

Have fun,
