Best place I know is Rock Creek Park DC on about the third week of
September. We have had multiples on a day -- sometimes multiples in one
tree! However best to go on day when a good passage of migrants is expected
(i.e., cold front, sunny morning, etc.) Have had Phillies almost everywhere
in the "usual" areas -- (consult MOS web site on birding sites in DC and
look for Rock Creek Park under "central" area) -- but most often on the
Ridge.
