At 7:10 this evening I got a call from Harry Armistead to report a
sighting of a Pomarine Jaeger out over the Choptank River vigorously chasing
one of the gulls that frequent that area. One of the observation points off
Harry's property, in Talbot County south of St Michaels, faces out to the
southwest over Irish Creek and even out to the Choptank River.
Though this would be a bird that would be pretty hard to chase, if
anyone happens to be in position to check the bay this afternoon or evening,
who knows - it might be sighted again.
Certainly not your 'every day' Talbot County bird.
