On Aug 31 at my work at the Wye Research Center near Queenston Maryland there was an Eastern Kingbird presant . Also on Aug 31 , 2010 at about dusk I was in Centreville Maryland and had a large group of Chimney Swifts flying and swirling around I roughly estimated 100 birds. As dark neared they dove into a chimney of a house next to the firehouse for the night . During this the siren went off for a call briefly scattering the flock before they resumed entering the eveing roost . I made a much closer estimate of the number of swifts as they entered the chimney my second total 139 very cool to watch .
All Week on my way home from work I made stops at Central Sod Farm Near Queenstown to try and see the reported Buff Breasted Sandpiper with no luck at all of locating it . On Thursday Sept 2 I made a count of the Shorebirds there with the most of them being Killdeer

Semi Palmated Plover 4
Least Sandpiper 15
