HI all --

Staying close to home as have a litter of puppies expected any day now, so
opted for Brookside Gardens and Wheaton Regional Park today as well. One of
those "hit or miss" days -- breezy and not as many migrants as we had hoped,
just a few small active flocks -- but if you found a flock then there would
be some good birds! Almost all the birds seen were actually in the Park near
Pine Lake, the Gardens were fairly quiet except for hoards of hungry Robins
and Catbirds.

Birds of interest:

Red-shouldered Hawk - 2
Belted Kingfisher - 2-3
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 1
Eastern Wood-pewee - 5
Phoebe - 2
Red-eyed Vireo - 11
WARBLING VIREO - 1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 1
Gray Catbird - 20+
American Robin - 40+
Blue-winged Warbler - 1 probable (but it slipped away...)
Canada Warbler - 1-2
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 2
Magnolia Warbler - 8
Redstart - 4
No. Parula - 2
TENNESSEE WARBLER - 1
Common Yellowthroat - 1
Chipping Sparrow - 15

Plus a lot of the "usual suspects"...
