Hi all --

Barry was off to the banding station at Patuxent and I went to WRP, doing
the usual areas. Not a very active day for migrants -- lots of birds have
cleared out and not much has come in, apparently. However the paucity of
warblers was off-set by great looks at LEAST and YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS
-- close and cooperative. The huge numbers of Robins and Flickers that were
everywhere yesterday were almost all gone today, only two lonely Pewees, and
Catbird numbers continue to fall...

Birds of Interest:

Green Heron - 1
Red-shouldered Hawk - 2
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 1
Eastern Phoebe - 2
Eastern Wood-pewee - 2
LEAST FLYCATCHER - 1
YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER - (almost certainly same bird as yesterday, in
same place and a very yellow individual...)
"Traill's" Flycatcher - 1
Empid sp. - 2
Red-eyed Vireo - 7
House Wren - 5
Scarlet Tanager - 2
Brown Thrasher - 1
Eastern Bluebird - fly-overs calling
Black-and-White Warbler - 2
Black-throated Blue Warbler - 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 3
Magnolia Warbler - 7
Northern Parula - 2
American Redstart - 8
Common Yellowthroat - 8-9
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 4
FIELD SPARROW - 2 (in with Chippers)
Chipping Sparrow - 12

Plus the usual, including all 5 local woodpeckers...
