First off, a huge congratulations to Jim and Colleen Brighton on their
wedding yesterday in Oxford. My band and I were honored to be the
reception music for Jim and his bride. And all of course, it was great
to see all of those Maryland birders someplace where there the only
rarity was a 'Bow-tied Brighton'. It was my first sighting of one in
the state.

This morning, Warren & Lisa Strobel (AKA The Bird Couple) joined my
wife Emery and I, and two other ladies at the Bacon Ridge Branch for a
Bio Blitz. Details about the area and the blitz can be found here:
http://www.hometownannapolis.com/news/top/2010/09/19-20/Bio-blitz-documents-Greenways-flora-fauna.html

It was wonderful. 12 species of warbler, including CONNECTICUT. FOS
Ruby-crowns and a YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER. This area of Anne
Arundel is not accessible (yet) to the general public, so the chance
to bird it was welcome. Here is the list:

looking for Connecticut Warblers, but I could be wrong on that...
