Hi all,
Been following the 'shorebird parade' postings at Triadelphia, so I packed up, and went there. My target bird was the Baird's Sandpiper. With patience, I searched and found it. It tended to stay on the drier parts of the mudflats, which is what I read on it. On the far side of the mudflats, there were many peeps, and when the Killdeer sounded, they all got up and flew around. Dropping in while I was there, was a Solitary Sandpiper, and 3 Lesser Yellowlegs.
An immature Bald Eagle soared over head. Blue Herons squabbled over the best fishing spots.
