While doing my daily bucket-sit this morning, I saw a large shorebird flying
south down Jug Bay. Got it in the scope and cranked it to 60x. I saw an
extremely long beak, a white stripe the length of the wings, very black
underwings (more extensive than Black-bellied Plover) and a distinct white
rump. I figure that adds up to a Hudsonian Godwit. This was at 9:29 this
morning, 2 Oct, 2010. And yes, it was new for my bucket list.
