Good evening Ospreyers,
I also birded at Rock Creek National Park this morning with my girlfriend Amanda. We had a couple of additions to the earlier post, most notably one Gray-cheeked Thrush seen well at the visitors center in a loose flock of mostly Robins, a couple Wood Thrush, a couple Swainson's and the Gray-cheeked. They were eating dogwood berries, porcelain berries and poison ivy berries and allowed a relatively close approach. Also had 2 Winter Wrens, my first of the fall, as well as over a dozen White-throated Sparrows at various locations, 3 Red-shouldered Hawks, and 7 Wood Ducks in addition to the previously reported species. We missed Cape May but saw 2 Blackpolls. Full list of 47 species below.
Good Birding,
