To our surprise we found two flocks of Pectoral Sandpipers feeding in the
rain flooded fields of the (closed) Cape Point campground of Cape Hatteras
National Seashore. This was October 1st and we thought that they would have
passed through several weeks before. --Each flock was about 50 birds and
though they took off as a group after a while there were groups there also
the next day.
