Hashawa today....
We are clearly transitioning over from migrants.....but the big thrill was
my first of fall BROWN CREEPER......
Hey, I was at Hashawha today also, about mid-day. I saw a WINTER WREN, up
close and personal, several YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, the KINGFISHER over
the pond, and plenty of KINGLETS also, although only of the RUBY-CROWNED
variety. I saw many SONG SPARROWS and the place was LOADED with
WHITE-THROATS everywhere I walked. I had a dog with me and the birds could
have cared less, allowing us to approach quite closely. Alas, no Brown
Creeper for me. :(
