Gary,

Here is a link to an eBird map showing Raven sightings in MD, DC & VA.

http://ebird.org/ebird/GuideMe?speciesCodes=comrav&reportType=species&bMonth=01&bYear=1900&eMonth=12&eYear=2010&countries=US&states=US-DC&states=US-MD&states=US-VA&getLocations=states&continue.x=81&continue.y=9&continue=t

You can zoom in to see more detail in the DC area (ballons with +
signs indicate multiple observations).

As you can see Raven sightings are widespread in western and northern
parts of the greater DC area, including No. Va and Montgomery Co., but
rapidly taper off as one moves south and east, which appears to be the
current limit of their range. Ebird sightings don't go back far
enough (yet) to see the range expansion over the past few decades, but
it is my understanding that there has been considerable range
expansion throughout the Northeast in that time.
