Hi all --

Went over to Wheaton Regional Park today and it was quite active with some
nice birds about, although nothing rare or exceptional. Best were probably
a cooperative group of PURPLE FINCHES feeding in vines and on Tulip Poplar
seeds, as well as a beautiful male NORTHERN HARRIER overhead as it winged
south. Checked Brookside Gardens, but no hummingbirds, despite a splendid
display of Pineapple Sage in the yew garden.

Came home to see 2-3 PINE SISKINS a the feeder, with Goldfinches -- Barry
had a couple yesterday as well -- we have been watching carefully and so
far, all Chickadees have been Carolina.
