I took advantage of the nice weather today to check out some of the local
areas along the Anacostia early this afernoon.
I stopped at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Kenilworth Park, and Anacostia Park
around Poplar Point.
Best birds were a VESPER SPARROW and EASTERN MEADOWLARK flushed from behind
the football goalposts at Kenilworth Park.
Also, an interested park goer at Anacostia Park said that he had seen
several Wild Turkeys in the Poplar Point area within the last few days early
in the morning, but I did not see any while I was there today.
