Peter Osenton and I birded Terrapin Park in Queen Anne's county this morning
where 2 Blue-headed Vireo's were the highlight among the expected species. We
then headed down to southern AA county, stopping at Sands Rd. park, where we had
much of the same species as Stan yesterday, but couldn't relocate the Vesper
Sparrow. Jug Bay was relatively quiet, though we had two groups of Rusty
Blackbirds (~10) and a perched Merlin on the edge of the marsh. We also had
very poor looks at an actively feeding Empid whose overall jizz was suggestive
of a Least, but we could not be sure. We both had to head back in the early
afternoon, but was still a great day and fairly productive.
Cheers,
