Hey everyone,

I spent a few hours on Taylor's Island this morning.  Below is the
ebird list from the time spent birding on the island.

Location:     Taylor's Island
Observation date:     11/6/10
Notes:     Windy for most of the time.  A few Common Buckeyes still flying.
Number of species:     61

Canada Goose     98     all fly overs
Ruddy Duck     1     sleeping contently off the town boat ramp
Common Loon     1     flying up the bay
Double-crested Cormorant     26     mostly sitting on the pound nets in the bay
Black Vulture     2
Turkey Vulture     19
Bald Eagle     4
Northern Harrier     1
Cooper's Hawk     1
Red-shouldered Hawk     1
Red-tailed Hawk     1
American Kestrel     1
Dunlin     3     feeding on the flats north of the end of Punch island Rd
Laughing Gull     9     All sitting on the jettys at the end of Punch Island Rd
Ring-billed Gull     1     Sitting on the dock at the town boat ramp
Herring Gull     5
Great Black-backed Gull     1     flying up the bay
Forster's Tern     64     mostly sitting on the jettys at the end of
Punch Island Rd, but also many feeding out in the bay.
Mourning Dove     42     All in one cluster sitting on telephone wires

Hairy Woodpecker     1

White-breasted Nuthatch     2     On the north end of the island.  Had
all three nuthatch species in one tree.

American Pipit     2     Two birds calling as they flew west from the
north end of the island.

Yellow-rumped Warbler     50

Chipping Sparrow     10
Field Sparrow     2
Vesper Sparrow     1     First spotted sitting on a telephone wire at
the north end of the island.  When the bird flew off the wire I
noticed the white outer tail feathers and was able to locate the bird
in the field along the road.
Savannah Sparrow     1     Sitting on telephone wire northwest part of
island along sorghum field.
Fox Sparrow     1     One bird in the pine woods along Punch Island
Rd.  Heard its distinct chip and saw the bird.
