This morning while I was driving north over the Solomons bridge, I noticed a
squadron of 3 Brown Pelicans flying from the Calvert to St. Mary's side of the
river just south of the bridge. They were at eye level but I couldn't get
anything one them other than they were pelicans. When I got to the park and
ride, I texted Bill Moody who has a clear view of the lower Patuxent basin and
he texted back that he's seen them there for a week or so. Since Jane and I had
been in Denver last week, I must have missed them. Anyway, not terribly
noteworthy in St. Mary's where they're fairly common south of the base but
always a good bird in Calvert. I think it's my Calvert year BRPE.
