On my way home from work yesterday, I saw the previously reported Sandhill Crane off Church Road, at dusk.  It was very dark, but I could see well enough to id it, and distinguish it from a Great Blue Heron that was also there.  I assumed it was roosting for the night in the stormwater detention pond (mostly wet now, but no water depth - it is just a very large puddle).

This morning I went past with my kids to show them the crane, but it was gone.  No telling if it has left or is simply out feeding somewhere else.
