We saw the Golden Eagle this morning at 9:10, not long after the heavy rain let up. It had probably been perched in the same tree the whole time we were there and flew as soon as I got the scope on it, giving good looks as it went past us toward the reservoir.

This is our happy Thanksgiving bird!

> Location: Loch Raven Reservoir--Paper Mill Flats
> Observation date: 11/25/10
> Notes: The Golden Eagle had been perched in a tree across the flats near where a Bald Eagle landed. When scoped, it was seen to be brown and slightly yellowish on the head with some yellow on the beak. As it flew, we were able to see clearly-defined white above the black terminal tail band.
