Jane and I were driving up to visit her family then mine and as we passed just 
north of Dunkirk, in northern Calvert County, I noticed a large Canada Goose 
flock near Yellow Bank Road. Just luck that I could see a white head at 55 mph 
so we spun around and sure enough there was a blue phase Snow Goose in with the 
flock. If it had had its head down, I would have missed it. Anyway, I've only 
seen Snow Geese a few times in Calvert and the last two were in this same field. 
Coming from the south, pass through the traffic light by the sports complex and 
the McDonalds then make the next left onto Yellow Bank Road. From the north, 
there's a farm stand on the right selling Christmas trees and the turn is 
shortly afterward.
