 Hi folks,

I got this from a photography-related web site but this problem doesn't just affect photographers, it affects anyone interested in the Bald Eagles at Conowingo Dam in Harford County:

This was posted Wed 11/24:

Went to Conowingo this morning. Have some bad news for you all. There was very little action at all. Not many eagles to be seen either.

The cause?

There is a photographer who has been boating over to the the island every morning and walking around the island trying to photograph the birds. I spotted him this morning in his "camo uniform" . He is the talk of the dam to say the least. And has done a great job at scaring a lot of the eagles out of the area.

In defense of bird photographers, of which I am one, there are many, many of us who spend a lot of time at Conowingo with great respect for and without disturbing the eagles. This is one "bad apple" who is ruining it for everyone, photographers, birders and most importantly, the EAGLES who are fleeing a productive feeding area.
