Jim Peters found a Purple Sandpiper at Fort McHenry this morning. The bird
is on the rip rap below the seawall as you walk counterclockwise around the
Fort lawn - starting at the wetland sign. When I saw the bird at 8:10 it was
feeding on the rocks after the second bend in the seawall. If you choose to
look for this bird, please attempt to stay on grass along the seawall.
