Arrived at Fairwood Pond at 6:19 a.m. Civil twilight began at 6:33 a.m. and sunrise was at 7:03 a.m. Eventually joined by 5 others. The crane appeared by 6:50 a.m. emerging from the reeds in the west end of the pond (where the torn nets are). It was vocal as it walked around the nets. After about 5 minutes, it disappeared over the hillside to the south. It stayed low to the ground and may have landed on the other side.
