Mike Ostrowski, Dan Small and I birded in Dorchester and Worcester
Counties today. Highlights include:

Hooper's Island
Brown Pelican -- 1
Merlin -- 2
Sanderling -- 1

Cocheron
Merlin -- 1
Northern Gannet -- 1

Bishop's Head
Greater Yellowlegs -- 4

Around 10:30am we got a text that Joe Hanfman found an Ash-throated
Flycatcher on Assateague, so we bombed to Assateague where we dipped
on the Ash-throat but spotted a Northern Shrike on the eastern end of
Bayside Campground. After looking for the flycatcher a while longer
with no success we went to Rum Point Golf Course where we spotted a
single Cave Swallow. The swallow hung around for about 10 minutes.
The bird then headed south out of view. We then made the poor
decision to head back to Dorchester around 2:30pm :)

Elliot Island Rd marshes (at dusk)

Black-crowned Night-Heron -- 20
Lesser Yellowlegs -- 3
Short-eared Owl -- 2
