Birdy day on the towpath

Mellow RS Hawk that never flew only 20 feet or so from the towpath,  
overlooking the first pond downstream
50 or so mallards in said pond; 12 in the canal.  Four blacks that  were 
there last week not seen today
2 Rusty BB's foraging on the edge of the canal close to mallards
6 Cedar Waxwings
22 Bonnies, reported previously by Dave C in the river
Multiple Ring-billed Gulls, maybe a hundred
pair of Pileateds
usual sparrows, cardinals, titmice, chickadees, vultures
