Hello eveyone. I trust you all had a nice Thanksgiving weekend.

Declan, after reading on my iPhone that the ATFL was again observed
Sunday morning, practically begged me to take him to Assateague NS.
He was behaving and such, so I agreed. We found the bird (thanks Joe
Hanfman for finding it, and Bill Hubick and Jim Brighton for the
guidance and suggestions once we arrived) after only a few minutes of
searching. I posted several photos here:

My son loves owls, so I treated him to a stunning sunset on Elliott
Island Road. There, two SHORT-EARED OWLS, flew up from the marsh
grasses (one a mere hundred yards of so away from us) and started
their evening hunt.

It was a great day to be out birding / bonding / spoiling children.

Good Birding,

Dan
