This evening my brother Mike and I found a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE
at Cranberry Reservoir in Carroll County. Accompanying it were 700
Canada Geese, two Cackling Geese, Ruddy Ducks, Northern Pintails,
Ring-necked Ducks, Mallards, Black Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, American
Coots, and a single Greater Scaup.

We birded the first half of the day in Cecil where most of the action
was at Perryville Community Park. We didn't find any unusual species,
but the numbers were impressive, including 1550 Tundra Swans, thousands
of scaup, hundreds of Canvasbacks and more. Another highlight was seeing
5 Snow Geese at North East Community Park.

We also got a chance to see the Carroll Co. Sandhill Crane in its usual
spot around 4pm and Jon Corcoran's Black-headed Gull on our way south
from Cecil in the late afternoon.
