While waiting in line for my turn to see the Golden-crowned Sparrow at
Chesapeake Farms I saw an immature Golden Eagle pass high over the adjacent
field. There were about 6 cars queued up along the hedgerow but only the
first few could see the bird. As they eventually moved out of the way the
rest of us had superb views also. The Rough-legged Hawk on Reese's Corner
Road was not present.
